What is HEMP?

Hemp is a unique and versatile crop with many valuable qualities. It has a wide range of applications, including textiles, building materials, and food products. Hemp is also a sustainable crop that requires less water and pesticides to grow, making it an environmentally friendly choice for farmers and manufacturers. In addition, hemp seeds and oil are rich in essential fatty acids, which are important for maintaining good health. The legalization of hemp cultivation and production in many countries has opened up new markets and opportunities for farmers and manufacturers, contributing to the growth of the hemp industry.

What is the Difference between hemp and marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are both varieties of the Cannabis plant, but they differ in their chemical composition, cultivation practices, and uses.

The most significant difference between hemp and marijuana is their tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content. THC is the psychoactive compound that is responsible for the "high" associated with marijuana. Hemp is defined as Cannabis with a THC content of 0.3% or less, while marijuana typically has a much higher THC content, often ranging from 5-30%.

Another difference is their cultivation practices. Hemp is grown as an industrial crop for its fibers, seeds, and oil, while marijuana is cultivated for its psychoactive effects. Hemp is typically grown outdoors in large fields, while marijuana is often grown indoors under controlled conditions.

The uses of hemp and marijuana also differ. Hemp is used primarily for industrial and commercial purposes, such as textiles, construction materials, and food products. Marijuana is primarily used for recreational or medicinal purposes.

Hemp Omega

Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid that our bodies cannot produce on their own, meaning we must obtain it through our diet or supplements. It plays a crucial role in reducing inflammation, improving heart health, supporting brain function, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases. Additionally, research has shown that omega-3 may have mood-enhancing properties, making it a truly unique and beneficial nutrient.

This plant-based protein source is a complete protein, meaning it contains all 20 amino acids, including the nine essential amino acids that our bodies cannot produce on their own. Unlike whey protein, which is derived from milk, this protein is entirely plant-based, making it a great option for vegans and those who prefer a plant-based diet.

A remarkable C02-capturing contender.

The cultivation of industrial hemp has been shown to absorb an impressive 8 to 15 tonnes of CO2 per hectare. In contrast, forests typically capture 2 to 6 tonnes of CO2 per hectare per year, which can vary depending on factors such as the region's climate, tree type, and years of growth.
